Laghu Saptasathi or Hanuman's Stotra on Goddess Durga


This is a set of 18 verses by Hanuman on Goddess Durga when Lord Hanuman was about to attack Mahiravana or Ahiravan.

The story goes like this - During the battle between Rama and Ravana, When Indrajit (Ravana's son) is killed, her calls his brother Mahiravana for help, who was the kind of Patala.

Ahiravana takes away Rama and Lakshmana taking the form of Vibhishana. When Hanuman realizes what has happened,he enters Patala and defeats Mahiravana in a battle. Before that he prays to Goddess Chandi or Durga for victory with this Mantra.
